FACT OF THE DAY: In 2009 James Franco sought out a guest role on “General Hospital.” The character written for him was named Franco Baldwin, “an artist whose canvas is murder.” James Franco filmed 20 episode appearances over three days, and returned to the show periodically from 2009-2012. In 2013, the role was taken over by Roger Howarth.
