FACT OF THE DAY: Fewer than 20 Leonardo da Vinci’s paintings survived to the present day. In 2005, it was discovered that a painting called Salvator Mundi, which sold for £45 in 1958, was actually by Leonardo. In November, Christie’s will auction the painting for an estimated $100 million.
