FACT OF THE DAY: Doris Payne, 86, was arrested recently after attempting to steal a $2,000 diamond necklace from a Lagos store outside of Atlanta. This was only the latest in a 70-year career in theft for Ms. Payne, who began her life of crime when she was 16 and has been linked with heists in California, Colorado, New York, Ohio, Paris, Milan, Tokyo, and Monaco.
