FACT OF THE DAY: In 2005, Snapple attempted to set a world record by unveiling a 17.5-ton, 25-foot-long Popsicle in New York City’s Union Square. As it was unloaded, however, officials discovered that a significant portion of the Popsicle had melted, creating a river of strawberry-kiwi-flavored goo that began spreading in all directions. The flood resulted in four injuries and several closed streets while the NYFD hosed down the liquid.
