Between 1963 and 1968, it operated a variety of companies including a taxi service, an instant-rice company, a TV network, and a chain of “love hotels,” all of which failed. Nintendo offered its first toy in 1966, its first electronic entertainment in 1973, and its first home game system in 1980.
