FACT OF THE DAY: Draw two parallel lines on a sheet of paper, a few inches apart. Drop a bunch of paper clips onto the paper. Divide the total number of paper clips by the number that are touching the lines, double it, and the result is a close approximation of the value of pi. The more paper clips you drop, the more accurate the value.
