FACT OF THE DAY: NFL hall-of-famer Albert Glen “Turk” Edwards suffered a career-ending injury on September 22, 1940, during the coin toss before the game. After calling the toss and shaking hands with the opposing captain, Edwards turned to head back to his sideline, only for his cleat to become stuck in the grass and cause his knee to give out.
