FACT OF THE DAY: In 1974, an 11-year-old Jet Li was part of a goodwill tour to the United States. After a martial-arts demonstration at the White House, Richard Nixon asked Li if he would be his bodyguard when he grew up. Li replied that he would rather protect his Chinese countrymen, to which Henry Kissinger remarked: “Heavens, such a young boy and he already speaks like a diplomat.”
