Need a place to stay in NY?

Post by vine311 »

A friend of mine is going on a month long trip and he's subletting his Manhattan apartment during that time. If you're interested, let me know and I can put you in touch with him.
Carol and I are heading out on the road for a little month-long cross-country road trip and our apartment will be empty for that time. If anyone knows of anyone who is looking for a place to stay for up to 1 month, between Nov 11 and Dec 10, they could use our apartment. If you or someone you know is going to have family or friends in town over the Thanksgiving holiday, our place would be a perfect spot for them to stay as an affordable alternative to inflated New York hotel rates.

For those not familiar with our place, it is a decent size, with a good sized living room, a full kitchen and a full bath. It has an upstairs part that has a queen bed. We also have two couches, one that folds out into a bed. The total sleeping capacity of the place is 5 people. We do have pets, but we are taking our dog with us on the trip, and we are giving our cat to a friend for the entire time that we are away, so the place will be totally empty, but it is pet friendly if anyone needs to bring their furry friends along. Other amenities include 2 huge 12ft tall windows, tv projector in the living room, flat screen lcd tv in the bedroom, dvd player/cable/stereo, and computer with high speed internet. The apartment is strictly non-smoking, but we do have a small balcony that overlooks Broadway which can be used for smoking. There is a laundry room on our floor, down the hall, which would be available for use.

We are centrally located at the intersection of Bleecker St and Broadway, close to the 6/B/D/F/V/R/W trains and a short walk from Union Square, Soho, Chinatown, East Village, West Village, Washington Square Park, and NYU. We are on the sixth floor in a very secure doorman building with elevators.

here's a little map of where we are located:

We're doing this sublet thing to try to offset the cost of our trip, and to make use of an empty apartment. The rates are totally negotiable, and the total price will depend on the length of stay. There's no minimum stay or anything, even one night is fine. Please contact me with your/their details and we can work out a rate. Also, if you would like to see pictures, please contact me and I will try to get some to you.

Your friend is a lucky individual. I'd kill my own grandma with a spoon to get and apartment in that location.

Yup, lucky and loaded. He's actually my landlord too.
