Harold Workshop
Practice The Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater’s signature long form structure known as The Harold. Exercise pulling what’s fun from the opening to inspire successful first beats. Recognize the game of the first beats to initiate second beats and tie it together with third beats. Work on group games that rest the beats and introduce a new energy to the harold as a whole.
About Fran:
Fran Gillespie has been performing at The Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater since 2004 in countless sketch and improv shows including Asssscat 3000. She has performed all over the country with the theater’s TourCo and has been a teacher at the New York and Los Angeles schools. Born and raised in Chicago, Fran attended NYU where she made 2 friends and received a degree in English and Spanish. Fran has been performing at the UCB theatre since 2004 in several sketch and improv shows. Past sketch teams include The Wicked Wicked Hammerkatz, Slow Burn, Gorilla Gorilla and her current team, Stone Cold Fox who can be seen on Friday nights. She was on the harold teams Tantrum and Bangs and now can be seen every Friday night performing with The Law Firm. Fran also performs at Assssscat 3000, Diamond Lion, The Soundtrack and colleges and theaters all over the country with TourCo; she can also be seen teaching at The UCB. Fran has never left a voicemail.
