FACT OF THE DAY: The nation's oldest veteran, 107-year-old Richard Overton, is an Austinite. He was present at the attack on Pearl Harbor and the battles of Okinawa and Iwo Jima. Overton still drives and walks without a cane, doesn't take medicine, smokes cigars, and takes whiskey in his morning coffee. The key to living to his age, he said, is simply "staying out of trouble." (Source)
