Submit to be in the IMPROV SLAM!

The Improv Slam is coming to ColdTowne Theater on Tuesday, September 3rd @ 8:30 p.m. And we want you to compete!!!

What is the Improv Slam???

Well, it's a lot like a poetry slam, only with improv...

1. Each troupe will get a 15-minute set to do whatever kind of improv they want.
2. After each troupe performs they will be scored on a scale of 0.0 to 10.0 by five random audience members. The judges cannot have any affiliation with the performers. So unlike a Cagematch, where you can sway the outcome by loading the room with friends and family, the Slam will be judged by unbiased, random people.
3. The high and low scores are dropped, and the middle three scores are added together. That becomes the troupe's score for that round. A 30.0 is perfect, and a 0.0 means you pooped (literally) on the audience's laps.
4. The winning troupe wins something awesome----likely purchased from a thrift store by me, the host, Mr. Andrew Buck.
5. The order of performances will be determined at the top of the show by random drawing.
6. Tech needs will be up to the troupe to arrange with the tech booth before the show begins----but I recommend keeping tech needs very simple.

The deadline to submit is 5:30 p.m., Sunday, August 25. Competing troupes will be notified via email within 72 hours.

This is going to be awesome and epic and will determine, once and for all, who the best improvisers in Central Texas are. (Kinda not really but kinda.)
