Re: The Paramount Story Wranglers AUDITION!
Story Wranglers is a creative writing program for 3rd graders through the Paramount, so Story Wrangler teachers go to schools for a 7 week residency and teach classes on creative writing, then they pick stories to put into a sketch comedy/musical show to perform for the school.
The stories go to actors/musicians (what these auditions are for) and they have a week of rehearsals at night to turn the stories into sketches and musical numbers and then they perform at the school once during the day, usually at 1pm or 12pm. The rehearsals are usually pretty improv heavy.
There will be 3 shows for this upcoming semester. When you audition, if you make it you get added to our list of performers and then we will send out availability for the shows to see which show(s) you are available for for that semester, so once in the performer "database" so to say, you could be in 1 show a semester or perhaps all 3, depending on what you would like to do. You never have to audition again once you have made it and from then on you are on our list of active performers and will automatically be asked at the start of a semester if you are available for shows. In the spring we will have 4 shows.
Bottom line is it's really fun, and a good way to work for a week of rehearsals and make some extra money.
Let me know, if anything is unclear!
