Casting improvised Polyphonic Spree-type band

Post by brently »

Want to sing happy and clappy music with your fellow improvisers? Check out the Fuck Yeah Chorus and let's collectively improvise a song.

Sing in the shower? Sing badly? All are welcome. It's an improvised choir, so to speak. And it will be fun.

Think Polyphonic Spree, Animal Collective and the Little Rascals. This is a group of your fellow improvisers that want to start an informal singing society. There will be performances but please don’t feel any pressure if you just want to come check it out. Let’s meet once and see how it goes. Come to the Institution Sunday, May 5th at 11 am-12:45. Brunchtime is a good time for the happy and clappy. There will be a gaggle of musicians and chorus members to support you. Want to bring an instrument of any kind, please do. Have fun, be loose and sing.

Seriously, if this sounds the least bit intriguing, come check it out for an hour. And spread the word to anyone you think would be interested. The more, the merrier, the louder, Fuck Yeah!

You improvise every day.
Why not get good at it?

Yeah, this is a one-time thing to see how it goes. The idea is to form a singing collective for the happy and the clappy. If you can't make it this time, no problem. Shoot them an email at the institution and we can let you know when the next meeting is. Also, updates can be found on a newly created facebook page. Singing together rules and is scientifically happy-making.

Sounds like a blast. When we're done moving in I'll try to make it!
