Let's pick a date and I'll start working on a website. If we have a website, downloadable fliers and a slick database ready to go, groups will be more apt to join up. Shouldn't be hard, and I bet Coldtowne alone knows a good smattering of troupes who'll be willing to participate.ChrisTrew.Com wrote:Warning! Dream Land Post:
What if we heightened the nuts off of that and made it an event where every improv group in the world performed that day for free? Of course, it's not likely that it will all be on stage, but it can be on sidewalks, parks, bus stops, on the phone, whatever. The performances can be whatever just to promote the "World Improv Free Day."
If we started now I bet we could get a huge massive list of people/groups. And then even more people will be excited about the energy of Austin Improv.

PGraph plays every Thursday at 8pm! https://www.hideouttheatre.com/shows/pgraph/
This is a fantastic idea. Let's make sure we plan it far enough out that we can really get some heat behind it.
Maybe we can make it a free weekend of improv, so theatres that only perform on certain nights can work it, or big popular theatres can choose a lesser show in a lesser time slot to promote.
In Free Night news, we signed on to offer 20 free tickets to TNAs, Cagematches and Blank Shows between October 19 and November 10.
