Agreement is a powerful & important element of improv. This workshop showcases how starting positive, staying on the same team, and beginning with agreement can propel you into a fun scene before you know it! Roy Janik & Jon Bolden started the troupe, Squirrel Buddies, to focus on staying together even during arguments and what might otherwise be considered negative scenarios. We’ll be exploring some techniques and exercises we’ve developed and often teach to students to combat the strange phenomena we all have as improvisers to introduce conflict willy-nilly.
Goals for the workshop: Find the positivity in any situation. Realize the power of starting positive. Use agreement to move the scenes forward and deepen the relationships.
