2013 Out of Bounds Submissions are OPEN

Post by Ruby W. »

Hello Austin!

A whole year has passed and, despite last year's Out of Bounds Comedy theme, Oobageddon, the world did indeed survive the year 2012. What does that mean? It means that you can stop stockpiling food and water and START applying for the 2013 Out of Bounds Comedy Festival which will take place August 27-Sept 3. This year's theme? Street Art.

The Out of Bounds Comedy Festival is a seven-day live performance festival that showcases some of the best in improv, sketch, and stand-up comedy from all over the country and across the globe. In its eleventh year, the 2012 festival hosted over 500 performers in 100 shows. Past headliners have included Scott Adsit, John Lutz, Tim Meadows, Kevin McDonald, Beer Shark Mice, Greg Proops and more.

And what can make the 2013 Out of Bounds Comedy Festival even better? You!

As a performer, expect hotel discounts, nightly parties and social events, entry into our annual OOB Mini-Golf Tournament, discounts on Pass Upgrades and discounts on incredible Workshops with renowned teachers.

Interested? Go to www.outofboundscomedy.com to submit to the fest! Early deadline is March 24th. Final deadline is April 30th.

Just a reminder! The early deadline submission ends on Sunday, March 24th at 11:59pm.

Starting March 25th, the submission fee will move to $30 instead of the discounted $20. GET EM IN!

If you delaying because you need help with creating or uploading photographs / videos, you should post about those questions here! I know in the past, theaters have offered filming nights exclusively for festivals. Also, some of us have premium Vimeo accounts that will allow you to upload larger and longer video files. Anything to help!

Should we have gotten a confirmation email (besides for the PayPal transaction) that our submission was received. I did one late last night, but now I don't remember if I hit submit or not.

For Bald Boys? Yes, I see one for Bald Boys. Oh! Bad Boys, yeah, that one is there, too.

But seriously, you're all set.

No fair stealing the name of Shannon, Clay, Jay, Kevin, Paul's, and my new troupe!
The silver knives are flashing in the tired old cafe. A ghost climbs on the table in a bridal negligee. She says "My body is the life; my body is the way." I raise my arm against it all and I catch the bride's bouquet.
