Bill Binder - Yesanding Yourself (6 of 6)

Post by tacotrombone »

Original question for reference:
"Do you think there is yet another level of yesand, one where you yesand yourself?
Seems like that is also another level of listening, too.

Deep thoughts."

Bill's reply:
"Oh absolutely.

Anne Bogart wrote (I'm paraphrasing) about how in the days of the Greeks, actors performed for The Gods
In the early middle ages, they performed for the kings.
In the times of Shakespeare they performed for the masses.
In the times of Beckett, etc they performed for their fellow actors.
Today they play for themselves and can choose any of those other audiences at any time."

That's it.
Thanks for reading. If you made it this far, you're a badass (or probably one of the moderators)!
I really and truly hope you got something out of this--I know I did.

Can't wait to play with you soon!
