Looking For Comic Book/Sci Fi Inspired Act 8/17 at Antone's

Post by David Lampe »

Looking for a comic book sci fi act to perform a 15-30 minute set in the midst of a similarly themed burlesque/vaudeville show at the new Antone's on 8/17. Special skills such as one-person sets, juggling, magic etc. are encouraged. Improv MIGHT work, but it can be a tough crowd for getting suggestions. Pay is a cut of the door (usually anywhere from $40-$100) Contact Lampe here, or Whitney Barnett at deliadread@gmail.com.

Yeah, Antones is moving again, looks like this might be a good shift for them,
the acoustics suck at their present location unless you're standing in the sweet spot.
They're moving over to the Beauty Ballroom location on E Riverside. It's a really good
space, has potential to be a great space.

ANY comic book, but mostly superhero inspired comic books. It doesn't even necessarily even have to be totally tied in with the theme of the show, she really just needs something more vaudevillian than just a stand-up performance.
