FACT OF THE DAY: The meteor over Russia last month was 56 feet across, weighed more than 7,000 tons, and was moving at about 40,000 miles per hour when it exploded about 12 miles above the ground with the force of 15 Hiroshima bombs. (By comparison, the meteor that killed the dinosaurs was so large that its rear was at cruising altitude as its front hit the earth.)
