Visiting New Zealander!!!

Post by Asaf »

Hey guys,

Robbie Ellis is a brilliant improv pianist I met from New Zealand who will be visiting during SxSW from the evening of Friday, March 8 (arriving at 6:40pm) through Monday, March 18. I'm trying to line him up with some crash space during as much of that time as possible. He won't have a car so it would be helpful if there were some bus lines nearby.

Also, he would be interested in playing some shows so if anyone has need of a great pianist, let me know.

Too bad there's no Free Fringe that week, I'd love to have him and Ammon do a dueling-piano-bar improv format.

Wait, how do we make an Ammon-and-Brockman dueling-piano Fringe show happen?

We find a way to set up an Ammon, Brockman and Kiwi triple piano show!

Again, doesn't help with a place to stay (I don't have room in my new place), but sounds like a fun show from a musical imp view. We could probably learn a lot from each other.

I have a guest room and I'm willing to host for part of his stay. I live very near TIT and two major bus lines.
