Are you reading this while living outside Austin?
I want to say hi!
Join the forums and introduce yourself!
Think about it. This isn't a private party. We recently had a member register here who is taking classes in New Jersey. We have another member who is taking classes in California. We have folks in Australia even. I've never met these folks. I think its badass they popped in and talk shop. Me? I'm personally running back and forth between Austin & New Orleans.
So who else is lurking out there?
It's says Austin at the top of the page but this is a discussion for everybody. We love hearing about improv communities all over the world. Your perspective helps to enrich the discussion.
No city will be turned away. Not even Sweetwater, Tennessee! (I love your caverns, btw)
So register. Reply to this thread.
Or you can post an introduction thread here:

That would be super cool! I know you are reading this!

Not in Austin regularly anymore, but I check in from time to time.
It's a good forum for discussion with familiar and unfamiliar people.

I'm coming up on being gone as long as I was there, which is freaky, but I check in with my friends (even those who don't know they are my friends) every couple of days or so.
"Oh, shit. We're being pulled over."
"Is it us?"
"No, it's someone else, and he's pulling us over to tell us who it is, like a courtesy"

Actually, it's "Hear, hear." I mention this only because (1) the phrase is an alteration of "Hear him! Hear him!", which was used in the British parliament in the 17th century, in place of applause (which was forbidden in parliament), and (2) I think Val will think (1) is kind of cool.valetoile wrote:And there, there!

Why are you even reading a review of Club Dread?

Not in Austin as much as I would like anymore either, down south in San Antonio. But I'll be back up Saturday for the Institution show!

Hi, my name is John, and I am not in Austin.
I just started poking around the forum because I'm going to be heading out there in February for the Improv Wins conference. I also met some folks from Hideout a few months ago at the Philly Improv Festival. I'm currently double-fisting my improv across two cities, teaching and performing in DC (Washington Improv Theater) and Baltimore (Baltimore Improv Group).
