AIC Potluck: Love Notes
Hey y'all,
One of the most special parts of the annual AIC Potluck (which is coming soon, on Sunday November 18th) is the Love Notes. If you're unfamiliar, these are short notes on scraps of paper that you write to your fellow improvisers and stuff into envelopes with their names, just like old-school Valentines. The notes can be signed or anonymous, it's totally up to you.
Since the potlucks in recent years have resulted in a lot of people sitting around and writing notes for the entire party, instead of interacting with the folks around them, we're changing course a little this year: you are strongly encouraged to write your notes in advance of the potluck, so that when you arrive, you can simply drop the notes in the respective envelopes and then get to socializing. If you realize you've forgotten someone, we encourage you to give your note verbally, in person, right then and there.
Here's the plan in list form:
• Today or tomorrow, Andy will post the Facebook invite for the potluck. RSVP for it.
• As of Sunday, November 11th, a week prior, there should be enough people RSVP'd that you can start writing your notes. There will be a Love Note Writing Party inside the Hideout coffeeshop on the afternoon of the 11th; I'll have paper and markers, and you can come for as long as you want to write your notes. I'll also bring supplies along on the AIC Camping Trip.
• On Sunday, November 18th, there will be a designated place at the potluck for people to post their love-note envelopes. When you arrive, go crazy dropping your love notes.
• The potluck will have a limited amount of paper and markers for those who don't have their notes already written, or who forgot to write a couple. But you'll have a better time overall if you do your homework in advance, and remember that verbal love notes can be just as special as the ones on paper.
Hope all that makes sense, but post below if not. Lookin' forward to it.

mine said #1 (1 of 10) Earth
I think i'm supposed to meet up with the other nine and ritualistically rub them together while naked or something.
anyone?
Me! I got one! Mine said "#3 (3 of 10) us"
And there was also a foam sticker of a purple flower with a pink heart in the bottom left corner on top of the "1". But that may have just been errant from another love note.
Also, to whomever made me a love note envelope: THANK YOU. I wasn't planning on getting one. I am touched.

Please please please tell me there are eight more dollars out there that say "[Earth] below [us] drifting, falling. Floating weightless calling, calling home..."Kayla Lane wrote:beardedlamb wrote:anyone else receive a numbered dollar bill in their love notes envelope?

If this is in fact the case, I'd like to accuse Chris "Ceej" Allen in the drawing room with the candle stick.
