Danger! Warning! Improv! Weekend Workshop on Sun Nov 4

Post by acrouch »

Are you looking for a quick hit to kick your improv up a notch or three? This performance enhancing workshop will give you a massive download of tools and techniques for making your improv as risky, playful and engaging as possible.

Troy Miller and Andy Crouch are teaching a six-hour intensive on Sunday, August 19 drawing from our two-man improv shows as Danger! Warning! Improv! (We opened the Sunday Out of Bounds shows last month with our James Bond and Sherlock Holmes formats)

DANGEROUS IMPROV: SIX HOURS OF LIVING ON THE EDGE

Andy Crouch and Troy A. Miller of Danger! Warning! Improv! will show you how to let your starving, half-crazed improv loose in the theatre. By refusing to play it safe, you will keep yourself and the audience fully engaged and energized every second of your show - and you will have the most fun you've ever had on stage.

During this 6-hour intensive you will be exposed to techniques and philosophies designed to keep your improv dangerous and immensely playful. From playing multiple characters (and character switching) to scene painting to creating vivid action sequences, you'll learn not only how to make your improv dance wildly on the edge of oblivion, but how to literally bring audience members into the swirling typhoon of fun you've created for you and your partners.

Sunday, November 4, $75
Six hours, 12:30 to 7pm (30-minute lunch break)
Hideout Theatre downstairs - 617 Congress Ave
