Tangent: I am so disgusted by CNN's gimmicky bullshit. Just show the debate without all the ticking lie detectors and buzzy-buzz click-clacks, please.

One needs to remember that many people are drawn in by these things. The same people who make "Real Housewives of New Jersey" a Nielsen hit have a vote that counts the same as yours or mine; whether it be for the POTUS race or TV ratings. It isn't pretty, but it's realpolitik.
