Auditions for Flying Theatre Machine--October 21st!

Post by Caeriel »

We're holding auditions for Flying Theatre Machine's next run! Flying Theatre Machine is the weekly (Sundays, 2pm) Hideout improv show aimed at kids and allowing kids to participate in super fun ways. Our next show is Monster Families (see below), starting the first Sunday in November. Auditions will be 3:15-4:15, Sunday October 21st. Coming to see the show beforehand is highly encouraged! If you would like to audition, please email Jessica Arjet (jessica@hideouttheatre.com).

Press blurb for Monster Families: Only Baby Monster can see the humans in the audience, the rest of the Monster Family doesn't believe in Humans. In this family friendly improv show the monster family goes through silly challenges to discover this gift that Baby Monster has. In a series of games, stories and interactions the monster family comes to an understanding with Baby. They eventually meet some of the audience and discover that humans can be nice!
This holiday season, at the Hideout Theatre, families will be able to experience the persistence that Baby Monster convicts by bringing magic of trust to the stage. Baby Monster doesn't care if you are human or monster, or anything else; all Baby cares about is making friends and having fun. The Monster Family finds that they can learn from Baby and everyone has a monster of a good time in this family and friendship affirming show.

Also, you get to wear monster ears and tails. So...you know...that is even more awesome.

How often do you have auditions for this show? I've always been interested but this Sunday is bad for me, perhaps next time around.

Heidi -
We hold auditions about 2-3 times a year. But they are all on Sundays because the show is on Sunday. So if it is not a good day for you then this might not be the best match. :)

In general Sundays are fine, but this Sunday I already had things scheduled that are too short notice to reschedule. I'll keep an eye out for the next one! Thanks!

Super excited about this opportunity but will be out of the country (ooh la la) during some of those shows so I'll audition next time. Thanks for the opportunity! And break legs!
