Merlin Works has room for more people in the up coming 401 (Level 4) improv class. It will be taught by Shana Merlin at Salvage Vanguard Theater beginning this Saturday, September 29th from 2:15 to 4:15 p.m. through November 17th.
If you have completed level 3 or if you've already gone through all levels and want a refresher course, this is a great opportunity and Shana is one of the best teachers around. If you can't afford the fee all at once, payment plans and internships are available.
This workshop gets to the heart of improv for storytellers by exploring scenework for narrative longform. We explore deep Yes And, the power of repetition, physical storytelling, organic acting, scene start initiations, establishing a hero, raising the stakes and basic story structure. Scenework is both a microcosm and a building block of improvised comedic stories.
