Austin Improv Soccer League Starts this Sunday

I don't care what the weatherman says. Out of Bounds marks the beginning of Fall in the Austin Improv Calendar. It's time to start up our weekly soccer league.

Come on down to a new venue: the multi-use fields at Patterson Park, 4201 Brookview Road, (right by Pharr tennis center, across Airport Blvd from Mueller Park)

Bring: light and dark shirt, water and cleats and a ball if you have 'em.

Bonus: league founder Shana Merlin will actually play soccer!

In case anyone wonders... No, you don't have to be good at soccer or even have ever played before. We don't keep score and just generally run around with all of us looking like idiots. It's a TON of fun and really good exercise.

A couple more seasons for me and I may be able to go shirtless in a Beach Cops show like Ryan Austin...

Also, bring sunscreen.

I concur, most people say "Oh, well I don't know how to play" or "I don't take classes at Merlin Works" it totally doesn't matter. COME ON OUT!

Fun game(s) my fellow imps! Can't wait for NEXT WEEK! We had the perfect weather and a good size number of people... but there's always room for more.

If you missed it this week and you wanna play next Sunday, mark your calendar then look for future posts for specifics. I think we're trying the old field next to Hancock Golf Course, on 41st and Red River.

We have changed the time to 10am for sleepy heads and cooler weather.

Soccer Sunday 10am 41st and red river. Should be excellent soccer weather. All are welcome.
