This next meeting is going to be big. We're going to vote on an executive director. Voting will continue in the week following the meeting, but this is your chance to hear the candidates speak about their ideas and intentions.
Other things will happen too, and that's why I need you all. Post all agenda items here. I'll put together the agenda and post it here, and I'll bring copies on Sunday.
hearts,
CdR

well crap.
i am getting the party set up for bob mcnichol's 33 1/3 birthday partay and will not make this meeting.
i've updated the account balance information with the deposits i have received to date and will send along with someone to be shared.
hopefully, exec director candidates will post their campaign points on the forum for all to read during the voting?

Personally, I'm hoping there won't be many campaign points beyond "Yeah, I can show up at all the meetings and do it."
My understanding is that the first electee is really only there for a few months to help define and find out what the role naturally entails so that we can figure out payment possibilities and structure and schedule, etc--not to begin shouldering long-term plans and promising changes.
So, candidates, if you want my vote, just promise you'll spend 3 dedicated months figuring out what this job is, not telling me how you'll do it before it is even defined.
