Singing our space songs on a spider web sitar
Life is around you and in you
Except for Timothy Leary, dearie
Let the sunshine, let the sunshine in
The sunshine in
Let the sunshine, let the sunshine in
The sunshine in

Sun 32

Keep your electric eye on me babe,
Put your raygun to my head,
Press your space face close to mine, love,
Freak out in a moonage daydream oh yeah.

MOON 34
SUN 32
The silver knives are flashing in the tired old cafe. A ghost climbs on the table in a bridal negligee. She says "My body is the life; my body is the way." I raise my arm against it all and I catch the bride's bouquet.

I never understood before
I never knew what love was for
My heart was broke, my head was sore
What a feeling

Tied up in ancient history
I didn't believe in destiny
I look up you're standing next to me
What a feeling

What a feeling in my soul
Love burns brighter than sunshine
Brighter than sunshine
Let the rain fall, i don't care
I'm yours and suddenly you're mine
Suddenly you're mine
And it's brighter than sunshine

You don't see me flyin' to the red
One more you're nuts
Just follow the seasons and find time
Reach for the bright side
You don't see me flyin' to the red
One more you're nuts
Just follow the day
Follow the day and reach for the sun!

In the misty moonlight,
by the flickering firelight,
anyplace is all right,
long as I'm with you.

In starlit nights I saw you
So cruelly you kissed me
Your lips a magic world
Your sky all hung with jewels
The killing moon
Will come too soon

I pictured a rainbow
You held it in your hands
I had flashes
But you saw the plan
I wandered out in the world for years
While you just stayed in your room
I saw the crescent
You saw the whole of the moon

Chimney falls and lovers blaze
Thought that I was young
Now I've freezing hands and bloodless veins
As numb as I've become

I'm so tired
I wish I was the moon tonight

Grapefruit moon, one star shining, shining down on me.
Heard that tune, and now I'm pining, honey, can't you see?
'Cause every time I hear that melody, well, something breaks inside,
And the grapefruit moon, one star shining, can't turn back the tide.

Kiko and the lavender moon
Out dreaming 'bout green shoes
Haircuts and cake
And then he wishes
The world away
And then he kneels
As if to pray
He dreams and dreams
Kiko and the lavender moon

Up in the morning, out on the job
work like the devil for my pay
but that lucky old sun
has got nothing to do
but roll around heaven all day

Minus one for moon.

The sun is a mass of incandescent gas, a gigantic nuclear furnace....

And the summer sun is shining like a red rubber ball

I worked all day in the hot sun, I fought the law and the law won.

Tell me why, there's no sun up in the sky, stormy weather, since my man and i ain't together....

Moon 39
Sun 38

I love how most of the songs with "sun" in them are actually about its absence.

Once inside a woman's heart
A man must keep his head
Heaven opens up the door
Where angels fear to tread
Some men go crazy
Some men go slow
Some men go just where they want
Some men never go

Oh blame it on midnight
Ooh shame on the moon

My eyes are blind, but I can see
The snowflakes glisten on the tree
The sun no longer sets me free
I feel the snowflakes freezing me

You work your life away and what do they give?
You're only killing yourself to live
