Dune.

(I've since finished it. I still hate it. I seem to work that fact into every Franz & Dave show.)

When I was in Korea I was dying to see movies in the theater (their theaters destroy ours btw) Everything I saw that year was a complete piece of shit, so much so that on several of them I felt like a moron for staying and watching them.

The list goes:

Cowboys & Aliens
Green Lantern
Captain America
Super 8
Transformers:Dark of The Moon

And the biggest piece of shit by far:

Skyline (I almost threw up at the end, sick with myself)

Fucking hollywood. I would have been watching Korean movies had they been subtitled in the theaters. That is all.

I like Dune, the movie and book, a lot. But the original version was going to be made by Jodorowsky with Pink Floyd doing the soundtrack, Moebius and Geiger doing art direction and Salvador Dali playing the emperor of the known universe. I think it got shut down after the studios watched the Holy Mountain.

I've never walked out of a movie at the theater. I'm too curious, and I already paid for it.

That was pretty bad but I think I was tripping when I saw it, so it didn't exactly occur to me that I might leave.

I walked out of Bean. I love me some Mr. Bean, but that movie was bad.

I also walked out of Crash. No, not that Crash. The 1996 movie by the same name. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115964/ Not because it was bad, but because I was on a date, and it made us uncomfortable.

I also walked out on Goonies once. Details are sketchy, but I think someone I was with had a nervous breakdown.

I rarely walk out on moves because there's that financial investment in the ticket and then the gouging at the concession stand. But here are the ones I felt were worth losing the money to save my mind:

Captain America (1990 version)

Dawn of the Dead ( The remake where the zombies run)

28 Weeks Later

Underworld :Awakening

The army finds a survivor of the worst virus to hit Europe since the plAgue and she's a "carrier" as well- and they leave her alone in a locked trailer with no armed guard? They are so inept that even a janitor can use his all access ID to sneak in and start the infection process all over again? That's the biggest plot hole out there. The movie could have been so much better.

Scary Movie. and Howard the Duck as a kid, but that was because my sister got sick.

also, Captain America, Super 8, Hunger Games and Dawn of the Dead are awesome and i will fight you.

I walked out of Iron Man but I'd already seen it and the girl I was with REALLY wanted to have sex. It would be more accurate to say I jogged out.

When I was working at a movie theatre sometimes I'd duck into theaters that had no audience (yes, they run the movies without anyone to see it) and chill for a bit. I saw about 1 minute of "Daddy Day Camp" and walked out. It would be more accurate to say I RAN out.
