Help me make social skills videos!

Post by Dan »

Hey improvisers! So I run a social skills website (http://www.improveyoursocialskills.com). It has guides to conversation, body language, etc.

What it does not have (yet) is videos starring you wonderful talented people. I would like to add some video content that illustrates the concepts in the guide. Like, people having conversations, people demonstrating body language, stuff like that.

I'm not sure exactly what I want this to look like. Most likely, it would be short, 60 second videos that each illustrate a single concept. The goal would be to make them useful and fun. Since my site is popular mostly among adults, I want to also make sure I respect the intelligence of the audience--I don't want to videos to seem like they were made for kids or the developmentally disabled.

I could use help with all aspects of this project, from filming to editing to acting. I can't pay you with like, actual money, but I would provide pizza and sodas on filming days. I think it would be a fun project, you could add it to your portfolio, and you get a warmy glowy feeling from helping people get better at their social skills.

If you're interested, take a little time reading through the site--specifically the sections on conversation (http://www.improveyoursocialskills.com/conversation) and body language (http://www.improveyoursocialskills.com/body-language). If those concepts make sense to you and you're interested in helping them come alive in a video, shoot me a PM or email me (my email is on the site.)

Thanks guys!
