Austin Improv Assassin Game!
AUSTIN IMPROV ASSASSIN GAME!
The Assassins of yore were an order of Nizari Ismailis, who captured and inhabited many mountain fortresses in ancient Persia under the leadership of Hassan-i Sabbah. Today, the word assassin is synonymous with improv nerds shooting each other with Nerf Guns.
This fall, Oh, Science’s Nathan Livni and ColdTowne Theater are organizing a city-wide game of Improv Assassin, open to anyone who does improv (or at the very least has a childishly overactive imagination) from any theater in town.
Participants will be given targets to eliminate with nerf guns, squirt guns, or spoons. Over the course of the month, the field of contestants will be whittled down to the strong, determined and intense. And like Highlander, in the end, there “Can be only one.”
The Austin Improv Assassin Game is inspired by the iO Chicago vs. Comedy Sportz Assassin game (listen to the epic podcast here: http://www.mysterycove.libsyn.com/index ... mit=Search). These games is to encourage community and dumb fun. As such, the rules are specifically designed not to interrupt performances or to get anyone fired.
Deadline to register is August 31st at Midnight!
Austin Improv Assassin Starts 60 minutes after the end of the final Out of Bounds Show on September 2nd.

Code names are how you are referred to in the game. You should choose a code name that people do not suspect is you. For example, if you write a letter bomb you would sign it as your code name. However, when you receive your target, you get their actual name.
There will be a complete list of participants. As people die, their code names are revealed. It's up to you to figure out the rest.

I'm getting disproportionally excited for this. Also, the other night I went down this particular internet rabbit hole.

The game hasn't even started yet. Oh, God, what have I become?
