Auditions for Mother F***ing Action Heroes!

Image

When: Saturday, May 26th, 3PM - 5PM
Where: The Hideout Theatre
Directed by Jason Oliver

Info: Mother F***ing Action Heroes! is a troupe performing multi-scene narratives based on characters and situations inspired by the action hero film genre. We'll be looking at films from the 80's to present for inspiration. The show will be primarily driven by the characters and relationships, not just action and plot. The show will incorporate stage combat and some props as accents to the story that is being built.

The auditions are open to all improvisers from any theatre. All experience levels are welcome (students as well)! I'm looking primarily for people that would love to have a lot of fun with this type of genre. The troupe would consist of 8-10 members, both men and women.

Rehearsals: Rehearsals will be weekly, starting the week of June 3rd. The specific day will be subject to cast availability on either Monday/Tuesday evenings or Saturday afternoons. We will also be having optional action-hero-moving-viewing nights.

Please RSVP to jasonoliverATsaturninetheatreDOTcom! I hope to see you there!

Oh no! Guys, he's hosted by Tripod! Do NOT fuck with him!
The silver knives are flashing in the tired old cafe. A ghost climbs on the table in a bridal negligee. She says "My body is the life; my body is the way." I raise my arm against it all and I catch the bride's bouquet.

No, no. This just means his approach to directing is threefold:

1) Doin' it
2) Doin' it
3) Doin' it well

"This is for those that don't know the half"

"Any mistakes can be rectified without loss of life, unless they involve Lubu."

Image edited for clarity. Why would my Mac at work view the image and not Windows computers?

Technology is complicated. Try uploading to tinypic next time.

Jason, I was hoping for directing like this:

Nevermind, that'd be horrible.

It's not horrible.

It's 13 to 14 weeks of pain, insanity, and chaos which changes you forever.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat if I were younger and in better shape.

No kidding. I wish I could go back 12 years and 100 pounds to this:
