NFL Draft 2012

Post by mpbrockman »

If the Vikes don't take Kalil at 3 (or make an awesome deal to trade down) I'm going to assume Rick Spielman is actually Matt Millen in disguise.

Especially if they takes Blackmon.

What up with Frazier saying "Offensive linemen aren't game changers"? Buying Ponder an extra few seconds to find Harvin or the newly acquired Simpson downfield doesn't change a game?

I suppose I could see the logic of Claiborne. He's got the size to challenge Megatron and Marshall, but seriously... Kalil, guys. Franchise tackle for 10 years.

Nicely done. Traded down so they now have 3 more picks and still get Kalil.

Now we'll see Blackmon go to JAX and Claiborne to TB.

WAIT! DAL just traded up to STL's #6. WTF?

Unless they want Claiborne. That would change everything...

Maybe they want another pass rusher, maybe an OLB?

Claiborne it is.

TB's board is shot to sh*t. So much for them getting their next Ronde Barber.

They're letting their clock run - probably desperately trying to trade down.

TB makes a pick with 38 seconds left.

Wild guess based on team need - Barron at safety. It's a reach. Let's see...

Now, does MIA reach for Tannehill - or get that DE (Ingraham, I think)?

Tannehill. First pick I really don't like, even though Mike Sherman is OC in MIA. If he starts next year that will make 17 starting QBs for MIA since 2000.

I can't believe Keuchly and Ingram are still on the board. CAR & BUF should be salivating.

There goes Kuechly.

Am I the only one watching this thing?

OK - so BUF didn't need a DE - but Gilmore? Hmmm... I say reach.

I'm quitting now - unless someone really surprises the sh*t out of me.

More tomorrow.

Sorry. KC picks Poe? Drafting based on need = poo. Reach. Combine monster, but bad reach at 11.

Sorry, Shannon.

Oh hey, I have a show to get to.

Cliffhanger - PHI trades up as ESPN goes to commercial. Who do they want that badly?

Ooh - Fitz & Floyd in AZ Nice tandem.

Too bad it's Kolb (or Skelton) throwing at them.

I'm following a little bit, but it's depressing as a saints fan knowing we may never get another draft pick ever again...

Agreed. BUT! If anyone can coach him up it's Romeo. We'll see. I was hoping Kuechly would have still been there.
