Take The PGraph Narrative Intensive April 28 & 29!

Post by kaci_beeler »

It's BACK! We're teaching the narrative intensive again!

Image

Join Kaci, Kareem, Roy, and Valerie for a weekend improv intensive you don’t want to miss. Narrative improvisation, long-form improv that tells a story, is the bread-and-butter of the award-winning work Parallelogramophonograph does. After 6+ years and 400+ shows together performing in over 25+ cities, PGraph has honed their very own brand of improvisational theatre using intuitive storytelling, complex relationships, bold characters, and highly-connected group mind. In this intensive you’ll buckle down for a fun and immersive weekend learning PGraph’s favorite exercises, methods, theories, and tricks for creating improvised plays on the spot.

2 Days. 4 Teachers. 12 Hours. 16 Students Max.
Only $115.

These four are masters of their craft and synonymous with narrative improv. If this is the direction you want to play, this is an absolute must. If you don’t, but you want to stretch out your story muscles, this is still a must.” -Student feedback

It’s a testament to their commitment to the craft and and their comfort on stage that they managed to sustain a rapt audience through laugh-free periods. You know, like good theater tends to do.” -The Austinist.com

“★★★★★ Some of the most enjoyable long-form improv I’ve seen, ever. It was dark, hilarious and all set at the perfect pace. I love slow-burning stories that take their time to unravel, and this did exactly that. “- London Improv (via the Edinburgh Fringe Festival)

When: Saturday and Sunday, April 28th and 29th, 10am-5pm (including a 1 hour lunch break)
Where: The Hideout Theatre
Cost: $115

I love teaching this intensive and I'm so excited we found a relatively open weekend where it worked with our schedules to teach it again!

This intensive completely changed the way I think about narrative. It was also one of the best-presented workshops I've ever taken. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Pgraph is my all time favorite troupe, especially when it comes to narrative. their four brains form a Voltron like super gestalt brain for improv storytelling. do this if you have any hopes of improving your skills!

I just ponyed up. Let's do this. :-)

You are now well past your quota of Ryans.
