Mitch Hedberg and Drunken Debauchery in the Fringe, 3/1/2012
Here's the crazy plan for this week's Free Fringe:
3/01/2011: The Ninth Show!
The Mitch-o-Scene, Produced by Jeff O’Leary
The late, great Mitch Hedberg was a fantastic comedian: surreal, unconventional, and brilliantly insane.
So what happens when a bunch of improvisers play tribute to Mitch by all pretending to be him while doing improv?
Who knows. Is this idea too out there even for the extremely out there Free Fringe? Quite possibly!
Starring: Andy Campbell, Ashley Carlisle, Stephanie Hagemeister, Dan Kerrigan, Jeff O’Leary, Nichole Oliver and Kevin Smith
DrunkProv, Produced by Chuy Zarate
Speaking of questionable ideas, here’s another one. There are 4 performers. There is one case of beer. The case must be completely drunk by the end of the show. Insanity prevails.
starring: David Lampe, Blynch, Jessica Arjet, Chuy Zarate
Firth & Arjet
Firth&Arjet for one week only are presenting "Date Night". The girl duo is going to invite a couple of awesome boy improvisers to join them for the evening and they'll be getting together on a double blind date. Will they find their soulmates? Or maybe at least a one-night stand?
“The show was original, interesting, and hilarious. I’d book them again anytime.” – Yvonne Landry, Theater Owner / Festival Producer, New Orleans
So that's the plan! I've seen a few variations on DrunkProv before over the years, and it should be an insane show.
And before you ask, yes, I have made Chuy promise that if there's any chance of a mess at all, he will put down a tarp.

OK, so...
The best thing about this is that Jessica will also be drunk for Firth & Arjet! (Assuming they play last.)

Well, you could ask the performers on Thurs to heckle you after they get drunk, which in turn would get them kicked out, and they could file a complaint...I'd love to see the BBB handle that:Jolene wrote:Can I just drink, get really drunk and heckle the performers and then get kicked out....call and complain, and then report the theater to the BBB? Oh...wait.... MAN! I never think of ANYTHING first.
"Lemme get this straight sir, you were kicked out of the Hideout for heckling and you were the performer?"
"Yup."
"Um yeah..." (hangs up)

Caught. I'm a big ol racist. I think all the Mexicans and Native American and people with their funny colored skins should go back to their own countries and leave America to the white people who stole it from them in the first place.Rev. Especially the Canadians. Fucking French.

Oh man, that Hedberg thing sounds like it was awesome. I hope it happens again and I'd love to throw my hat in the ring if those cats would have me. I've got a pretty mean Mitch in my repertoire.
