The Hideout Expands to North Austin - Level One Classes

Post by acrouch »

We're experimenting with a Level One class in north Austin at the Brand New Theater Co. space. If you know anyone who lives north and is interested in a more convenient improv class, send them our way.

Level One: Playing With Risk

Have fun, meet new people and learn to improvise in the Hideout’s low-pressure classes. This six-week workshop is designed for anyone who wants to loosen up, be more spontaneous and learn to take risks on stage and in life. Each week you’ll play games and explore a challenging variety of improv exercises that unleash your natural creativity and humor. Our work is inspired by Canadian improv guru Keith Johnstone (author of Impro) so even if you’ve done some improv in the past, you’ll find the Hideout’s approach uniquely inspiring. Whether you’re just looking for a fun experience, or you think improv might just be your new thing, Level One is the perfect place to get started. Classes meet for six weeks, three hours each week, limit 16 students.

Starts on Thursday February 16, 7-10pm, six weeks with instructor Troy Miller
Located at the Brand New Theatre Co. (8701 W. Parmer Ln. Suite 1122) near 183 and Anderson Mill
$169

And as always we're starting new Level One classes every month downtown at the Hideout.

Get me some fliers, I can advertise at NI. Main complaint from my work folks is that downtown is too far away.

This class starts tomorrow night! We've got about five spaces still available! Half-off if you've taken an intro improv class in the past (with us or with anyone else in town or across this great land) just email classes@hideouttheatre.com.
