Oh, Science! presents Dream Teams

Post by Alex B »

As you know, there's been much talk of "if you could pick any improvisers to play together, who would they be?". Well, in March, we're making it happen. Oh, Science!, with the help of ColdTowne, is asking your guidance in nominating Dream Teams. Winning teams will be contacted and asked to perform as special guests during the Sunday 8:30 show at ColdTowne.

Rules, procedures, and horrific fine print:

(1) Nominate a Dream Team by simply replying to this thread. You may optionally provide a team name. Two to five people (i.e. persons) per team. Example: "I nominate the following team: Arthur Simone, Tom Booker, Jill Bernard. I call them 'Phoenix Rising'."
(2) You can only vote once. Choose wisely.
(3) When voting, you're free to nominate a new team or to simply second (third, fourth, etc.) a previous nomination that you like. But either one counts as your sole vote.
(4) All active Austin improvisers (and all improvisers who will be in Austin in March) are eligible.
(5) We encourage nominations of diverse groups, e.g. improvisers that frequent different theaters and don't usually play together, improvisers with divergent backgrounds or levels of experience. The goal is to see interesting groups that you'd normally never see. These are the Teams of Dreams.
(6) We--the members of Oh Sci--will look at the votes in late Jan. and then contact members of the nominated teams. In picking Dream Teams to invite, we'll also aim to include a diversity of players (i.e. no repeats).
(7) Those selected Dream Teams that agree to participate will perform in March at ColdTowne during the famous 8:30 slot.
8) The previous rules include all the rules, except for any rules which I forgot.

By Zeus's Beard, The Nomination Process is now Open.

I would like to nominate:

Tom Booker & Asaf Ronen as Baxter & Bernard
Curtis Luciani & Kaci Beeler as F. Scott & Zelda Fitzgerald
as Bon Vivant

After an accident involving a velvet-lined, lamé-accented time machine, the world's most eligible bachelors meet none other than F. Scott & Zelda Fitzgerald.

*I got this idea from Peter Rogers casting of Sara Farr's suggestion of Bon Vivant from the Ladies and Gentlemen thread....sounds like a freaking great show!*

Incidentally, votes may include a suggestion of what kind of show or form the nominated group should perform, but, like the group name, it's ultimately up to them.

Keep them votes a comin'
