Anyone that showed up to the final after party at the Doubletree a bit early may recall seeing two (ahem) older women both wearing curly wigs and a wardrobe that was obviously stolen from Tina Turner in 1987. There were several theories as to who these women were and if they were serious. Well, tonight I'm sitting here on my couch flipping channels and I come across a public access show starring these two women. It's kind of a cooking show with the more frosted woman (Arcie) doing the cooking and the platinum one (Shasta) giving color commentary and the occasional offensive comment. The best part is when the show kicks into fast forward for to show a kind of low budget montage of cookery. It also turns out that these women have myspace pages.

Well, comedic tastes vary so much. It's just her opinion... You can't fault someone for liking or not liking a show.kbadr wrote:A woman who spends a lot of her time dressed like an Australian's nightmare is speaking with authority about what is funny and what is not?
Is that funny, ironic, or just annoying?
But hey, she IS on tv, so....
Also, the layers of irony are so thick with those two it's hard to say what is honest opnion and what is just the character being provocative. Also, so of you golfed with one of them and probably didn't even know it.mcnichol wrote:Well, comedic tastes vary so much. It's just her opinion...
