Post by Jolene »

The Hideout Theatre rings in the New Year with an enchanted evening of improv games, scenes and a champagne toast at midnight. Join us as we reflect on the year that’s passed, speculate about the year to come and celebrate that magical moment of transition between the two.
Start your New Year’s Eve off with our delightful early show featuring five of Austin’s finest professional improvisers. Or join us at 10:30 and careen full speed into the new year with a special champagne toast as the ball drops at midnight.
And due to our convenient downtown location, you can roll out of the Hideout right into the middle of the biggest New Year’s celebration in Austin.

Saturday December 31st @ 8:00 PM $25.00
or
Saturday December 31st @10:30 PM $25.00

Got my ticket for the late show already. Nowhere else I'd rather be to ring in the new year but with my improv friends.

Just to be clear... this is in ADDITION to, not IN LIEU OF, Same Years Eve... right?
The silver knives are flashing in the tired old cafe. A ghost climbs on the table in a bridal negligee. She says "My body is the life; my body is the way." I raise my arm against it all and I catch the bride's bouquet.

You do not need to buy a ticket to participate in it. We'll post something soon about casting. We're trying to figure out how to navigate it, with such a gigantic pool of improvisers.

The triumphant return of Billy Wolfe!!! He played the first Austin Theatresports shows 13 years ago when the Hideout wasn't even open yet. Awesome!
