Step into the Unknown and risk failure
I need 5 players (and a box/light engineer) for the September 23rd Blank Show.
The concept is basically that I will come up with a format idea and the players won't know what it is until they step on stage. Then, I'll tell them and the audience what it is and we attempt it. The point is to risk failure and step into the unknown. To get on stage having no idea what will be asked of you perfermance-wise.
Who's up?

This is a good idea, you should do more of these.

Anyone who wants to play PM me, and don't reply to the thread.acrouch wrote:Kareem, you should be in charge of putting together the five people so Wes doesn't know who they are.
If you already replied to the thread, kill your post. If you still want to play PM me.
WES WON'T KNOW WHAT HIT HIM.
Mr. Director, trying to screw with the players. Yes, and...fuck you, Mr. Bain. Y&FY
You work your life away and what do they give?
You're only killing yourself to live

BIG BUMP!
I just want to say thank you to everyone who took part in this show. Thank you to Kareem for putting the cast together and running light (singular). Thank you to Jason, Mike, Arthur, Kacey, and Phil for playing (and hitting a home run).
I had A LOT of fun turning some things on their head and showing the audience something they'd hopefully not seen before, or at least showing them something they had in a way they'd not seen before. I talked to a few on the way out and they seemed to have really enjoyed it. It makes me happier than you know.
We experimented and we won. Improv is AWESOME and the people in this community are AWESOME and my players were AWESOME.

That show last night was a total blast. I'm glad I could be a part of it. We should do more Blank Shows like that were the director doesn't know who the players are and the players don't know the format. We went into it knowing absolutely nothing and truly created everything from it.

In honor of how much fun I had in this blank show, I have changed my little quote in my signature.
I really enjoyed the show, it was an excellent format, it played with the boundaries of the space in the upstairs theatre (which really threw me off at times).
Thanks to Wes/Kareem for putting it on, and thanks to everyone who played. I enjoyed playing with all of you (some people I rarely get to share the stage with!)
thanks.
