2 hours. $15.
Date: Sunday, November 20th
Time: 10 am - 12 pm
Location: ColdTowne Theater
This workshop will focus on adding some unique tools and strategies to a rising improviser's skill set. We will hone in on how to avoid the creation of "offer soup" and instead slow scenes down to a comfortable, confident pace. Learn how to embrace and thrive in silent pauses on stage. Learn how to establish and inhabit a specific worldview for each character you create, and how to use that to inform all your decisions on stage. Learn how saying less can often mean much, much more. My goal in this workshop is to teach from experience and share some insight from my own approach to improv. In addition to the two hours spent in the classroom, each participant will receive a follow-up email with personalized notes (if they so desire).
To reserve a spot in the workshop or for more information, please contact Brad at brad.temple@gmail.com with the subject "DO MORE WITH LESS".
BRAD TEMPLE
Brad Temple is a veteran improviser based out of Austin, Texas. He has studied under instructors at every improv theater in town and currently serves as a Teaching Assistant at ColdTowne Theater. His improv philosophy fuses elements of Johnstone's story-based teachings with traditional Chicago-style longform improvisation. Brad also hates writing about himself, especially in the third person.
