Which troupes are represented in AIC?

Post by arclight »

Who are the member troupes in AIC? I'm putting together a list of troupes - here's who I have so far:
  • Coldtowne Heroes
  • Foolish Mortals
  • Get Up
  • Girls Girls Girls
  • Heroes of Comedy
  • The Knuckleball Now
  • McNichol & May
  • Parallelogramophonograph
  • The Polite Society Presents...
  • Tight
  • Wooden Nickel
  • You, Me and Greg
Have I missed anyone?

A thousand pardons for my omission - I knew I was missing someone.

To be a member though, they have to pay their dues first.
Or they can accept the Physical Challenge!

Since the only dues that troupes are paying are implicit (i.e. money that goes to AIC instead of the troupes for AIC shows like The Cagematch), I figure that if someone's in a troupe that's played an AIC show and they show up for co-op meetings, the troupe is represented or affiliated. By these criteria, the Cupholders are in but (unless I'm mistaken) Gigglepants is not.

I think that unless someone has told us that they're NOT involved, then we assume that they are. Which would put Gigglepants in I think. Even if they're not active right now, they may be very soon, and why start creating distinctions like that if we don't have to.

You're not very good at scamming money out of people, are you? I woulda split it with you and everything.

There is a troupe in development currently going by the initials "HBS" that is signed-up and working on getting ready to perform in March. I used to be in this troupe, but had to bow out because they rehearse on Mondays. Currently the troupe is: Gene, James, Eric, Amy, Frank, Bryant, Jenny, Shannon, & Michael.

I'm not comfortable making that assumption. Don't get me wrong; I'm not trying to exclude people or troupes - I'm just trying to sort out which troupes have been participating in the AIC beyond performing in AIC shows.

the only reason i wasn't sure was because we're officially from out of town and certainly a group that bounces through town for a weekend and does a show should not be included. however, like coldtowne, the cupholders sort of have an ongoing home away from home here in austin.
also, we're moving back, even if just temporarily for the summer.
i also think that anyone who performs in austin and demonstrates interest should be included, just to avoid the burning of bridges. but it sounds like someone needs to get on the horn with them and figure out their status... don't know. sticky situ. luckily there's no money involved, which would only make it more sticky.
