WOW!!! I am super pleased to announce that we had a huge amount of people sign up for Fancy Pants - unfortunately since I am only casting 20 people, not everyone will be on the cast list this time around. Whether or not you were cast, everyone who signed up are lovely improvisers and I strongly urge you to continue to sign up for future Fancy Pants. I am excited to be able to play with each and every one of you!

Cast List for October 7th Fancy Pants

Melissa
Kayla
Kathy
Anthony
Asaf
Regina
Ryan Hill
Ryan Nguyen
Emy
Matt
Mitchell
Andrew
Matt
Amira
Louis Zertuche
Cat
Krystal
Karen
Todd
Vicki

IF YOU WERE CAST: Call time is 7:15 pm. If you are late be sure to call or text me at 512-913-0162. If you are not there by 7:15 pm and I haven't received a call I'm going to release your spot to someone else. Having said that, if you were not cast, feel free to still come see the show! If a spot opens up you may be able to grab it!

Because of the huge amount of people, I had to make sure that I reached my goals as a casting director. Essentially I needed to create an appropriate balance of student improvisers and improvisers who have been around the block before. For students, priority was given to people Level 3 and above, and who provided me with theater/level information.

If you did not get cast this time around do not fret! Because this is my first time casting this show, everyone had a clean slate. But for future Fancy Pants, priority will now go to players who did not play the prior month.

A FANCY thanks to everyone who signed up!

Ruby

Tragic :( I am too late to be cast. If suddenly vast swathes of improvisers drop out, let me know.

Otherwise, until next time my fancy friends!

Was just speaking to a bunch of folks who want to sign up next time. Be sure to let Hideout instructors know that it's not just a "show up" thing. Some people had heard that was the case. (Er...unless it is?)

Ryan - definitely not a show-up thing. :) If we have open spots, we might let people jump in, but the people who had signed up originally will get priority.

In the weeks when Fancy Pants isn't happening, we have the Lottery, which is a "just show up" thing. Show up, put your name in the hat, and if it's one of the 4 drawn, you play in a show with 4 experienced improvisers.

YES! Good call Roy. Fancy Pants is typically once a month and you have to sign up. On the other Friday night shows they should definitely show up and try to get into the Lottery (the lottery happens before Pick Your Own Path, Dubbed Indemnity and The Nightmare Video Project)!!! Check the calendar on the Hideout website to double-check which show is coming up. :)

Ahem

Being the hardcore Hideout groupie that I am, I was aware of all this, however, some other students had heard differently. Just wanted to make sure they weren't being misinformed.

Peace Out
