New Format: The Spirit of Holiday

Post by MitchellD »

Thought of a cool Long Form format. Think of A Christmas Carol, but for each and every recognized holiday out there...and maybe even unrecognized holidays. - One person doesn't care about _____ holiday and doesn't understand the meaning of it. Over a series of events they learn... and perhaps learn to love it.

I call it: The Spirit of Holiday

Now... what do I do with this idea?

It would be even more fun with fake holidays, I think.

Or obscure holidays.

I kinda think about possibilities regarding holidays that people don't really understand - Boxing Day - being taken as literally about boxing. Or random holidays, like National Talk like a Pirate Day, being an interesting possibility of the mediocre/gimmicky holidays being something more special than they are.

Well, today happens to be International Preservation of the Ozone Layer Day. Go nuts.

I know a group of weirdos you could practice with. :-)
