The Professor (Doctor Who inspired improv show) has a cast!

Post by Justin D. »

This is not Doctor Who. This is The Professor. He may seem incredibly similar to The Doctor, but that's just a coincidence. Or a hiccup in the space time continuum that created a parallel universe. The Professor and his companion travel through their door-shaped TARDIS to anywhere and anywhen to explore the cosmic classroom.

Time travel. Multiple dimensions. Trusted companions. Quirky dialogue. Stories that act as metaphors for politics and social quandaries. Come see this Doctor Who-inspired show about the Professor and his (or her) companions as they travel the cosmos and timestream in search of new adventures through improv.

After much deliberation and discussion with the cast from the test shows, The Professor’s cast has been decided. They are:

Andrew Pish and Mike Ferstenfeld will each play the Professor, depending on what night it is.

Emily Breedlove.
Karen Jane DeWitt.
Katie Thornton.
Kayla Lane Freeman.
Colin Bates.
Clay Towery.
Quinn Buckner.
Lindsey Reeves.

In an advisory capacity until he figures out if he’s a TV star or not: Jordan T. Maxwell

Myself as the director (and sometimes player).

The show will premiere on October 14 at 8 PM at The Institution Theater and run for six weeks in that same slot.

I’m thrilled to have this amazing cast join me in my first directed show and welcome all of you to The Professor’s cosmic classroom.

If there's some reference to a Professor equivalent of K-9, I'm totally there. AFFIRMATIVE.

Anything I can do to help? Audio sound effects, for example?
