Forum RSS Feed

Post by Jon Bolden »

Can anyone explain why the RSS feed for this forum behaves differently than most feeds I subscribe to (at least in the way I'm about to describe).

The feed often only displays one item even if I haven't checked it for days

While other feeds show me the last X number of items.

Does anyone else experience this? Is it only because I subscribe to it in my browser? Obviously it works fine in google reader and / or my phone (but I rarely read blogs on them and it's a different type of setup). It makes it very easy to miss recent posts in this context.

Thanks for listening! (back to work)

Somewhat embarrassing... but despite having an RSS option on my own website I've never USED one or learned how. RSS is a huge mystery to me. Like kangaroos.

--edit-- oh, apparently all I do is download something. Mystery solved.

Attn: Bob, Roy, Brad, anyone that might know. Do we have RSS settings that won't just show a few posts? I miss a lot of stuff on this forum due to the setup.

Any thoughts?

I love me some RSS (and heavily recommend Google Reader), but I have never understood the way this board syndicates. It's a question for Bob. I find that I never miss anything by logging in to the forum daily and clicking on the "there are X new messages" link. I know that doesn't really answer your question, though.

I've been following the forums as one big fat RSS feed for a couple of years now. I don't think I'm missing anything, but if I am, I don't miss it.

I think it's specifically a problem with live bookmarks in browsers, so... i doubt I will resolve this issue. oh well, can't hurt to ask
