Austin Emerging Arts Leaders Creative Conversations

Post by shksprtx »

My friend Jesus works for the City's Cultural Arts division. They provide funding and support for arts groups (specifically, non-profits) operating within the City of Austin.

He sent me this flyer, and I was going to attend, but now I'm moving.

I know it's short notice, but I thought I'd post it here should anyone from the improv community be interested in participating in a round-table sort of discussion on the state of the arts in Austin:

Are you an emerging arts leader wanting to make a difference in your community?

Join us for Emerging Arts Leaders creative conversations

When: August 23, 2006 6pm

Where: Austin City Hall, Boards and Commissions Meeting Room, 301 West 2nd Street

Why: chat with emerging arts leaders about challenges specific to your age group and experience in the field and share opportunities and resources. Discuss community issues and come to consensus on a project we might take on together to support Austin’s art community.

Someone needs to go to this.

Pgraph's out, due to rehearsal and OoB meeting. Can someone get on this?

You work your life away and what do they give?
