My friend Jesus works for the City's Cultural Arts division. They provide funding and support for arts groups (specifically, non-profits) operating within the City of Austin.
He sent me this flyer, and I was going to attend, but now I'm moving.
I know it's short notice, but I thought I'd post it here should anyone from the improv community be interested in participating in a round-table sort of discussion on the state of the arts in Austin:

Join us for Emerging Arts Leaders creative conversations
When: August 23, 2006 6pm
Where: Austin City Hall, Boards and Commissions Meeting Room, 301 West 2nd Street
Why: chat with emerging arts leaders about challenges specific to your age group and experience in the field and share opportunities and resources. Discuss community issues and come to consensus on a project we might take on together to support Austin’s art community.
