Merlin Works Improv Lab starting August 20th

Post by smerlin »

We keep getting a lot of feedback from our students that they need more practice time.

We cover so much material in class that they want extra time to let the lessons sink in and become second nature. Plus, when people get bitten by the improv bug, they know they will improv faster (and feed their addiction) by playing more than once a week. Plus, we have a lot of people who want to keep studying with us but a series class isn't the right fit at the moment. And some people from way back in the day have been wondering if I'll ever do my drop in classes again (Ah, remember the days at Penn Field). So we are introducing:

MERLIN WORKS IMPROV LAB

Like in college, it's lab time to get more hands-on practice and discussion on the topics you covered in your lecture class. Want to try that short form game again? Need to find some new characters? Missed some classes and you'd like to catch up? Graduated and want to keep up your improv practice? Your next level class doesn't fit in your schedule? Show up to lab with the topics you'd like to work on and we'll give you some exercises, scenes, activities, and instruction all about it! Plus you'll get a chance to work with new students and players from all levels. (Class size limit = 16)

Merlin Works Improv Lab | Saturdays, 12-2pm, 4 classes: August 20th, August 27th, September 10th and September 17, 2011 (No Class September 3) | with Shana Merlin | at The Salvage Vanguard Theater, 2803 Manor Rd

Price: $90, $75 for currently registered Merlin Works Students. (Coupon Code: CURRENT)

Same time as my Hideout Level 2 class or I'd be there.

We had a lot of fun last week.

Looks like I'll have a few people absent for the Merlin Works Improv Lab this Saturday August 27, so I'm offering the lab up for drop-ins, this week only. $20 current students $25 everyone else. Ping me if you're interested. Or just show up!
